The SAIAR Infrastructure Experience
📝 Description
Experience our projection mapping and camera tracking infrastructure using a portable pop-up tower with four projectors, deployable in both indoor and outdoor scenarios. The workshop includes an overview and live demo of the tower — covering build/teardown times and throw ratios — plus a walkthrough of our depth-tracking camera setup. Participants will work hands-on with point cloud data to create interactive, camera-tracked visuals and conclude with a group demo of an interactive projection installation.
The SAIARlab infrastructure is a mobile setup of projection technology, consisting of 4 projectors, connected with a powerful workstation facilitating live generative AI capabilities. The infrastructure consists of a set of sensors (registering movement, position, sound, temperature) that can steer the projected outcomes.

- Depth Cam Tracking (60 min) — How to use depth cameras to create interaction.
- Combining Depth Cameras (30 min) — Demo: how to combine multiple cameras to cover large spaces.
- Hands-on exercise (3 hours 30 min) — Projection Tower Buildup — aligning projectors, positioning cameras, modifying a previous project to work on the tower.
